Maria Bestar is a Spanish singer and composer from Madrid, who from an early age knew her musical talent would lead to succeed. At age 14 she moved to Miami, Florida where she began her musical quest, by learning to play guitar, taking signing lessons and eventually making her first compositions.
During her 20’s Maria signed with the multinational firm Sony Music, and during the following year she released her first solo album called: “Maria Bestar produced by Rene Toledo and Lester Mendez”. Her first single “Thinking About It” quickly became a radio hit in Mexico, entering the top hit lists of radio stations across Mexico during its first year. Other songs also became really popular across Latin America.
In late 2001, Maria was invited to participate during a September 11 ceremony to sing “The Last Goodbye” song produced by Emilio Estefan, alongside other major renown Latin artists like Alejandro Sanz, Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, Gloria Estefan, Thalia, Paulina Rubio, Chayanne, among many others.
After gaining all the musical background and experiences during those two years, she returned to Miami to capture new ideas and start create her second album: under the production of Marteen, producer and arranger for artists like Celine Dion and Madonna, gives birth to “ Sleepwalker”, which came out under the distribution of multinational EMI in 2004. After a year of promotional tour and concerts in Europe and Latin America, Maria Bestar decided to make a stop on the road and roll over in her family dreams and consolidate other aspects of her personal life.
In 2014, Maria Bestar returns to the stage with a new album (Ballad/Pop) under the supervision of producers like Rafa Vergara, Jose Luis Pagan, among others. Maria presents us the second single from the album called “It’s Over”. The song contains touches of Vallenato and Reggaeton, without losing its unique style. Maria returns to delight us with her presence and musical uniqueness, maturity, and passion that have always characterized her.
