Funds raised will be used to rebuild the Lourdes School in Guatemala. Since 2010, our Protect project in Colombia has opened 70 investigations and served 76 victims of child sexual abuse. During this time we have been able to legally prosecute seven offenders. While not always true, in most cases of child sexual exploitation we have a scenario where poverty and social exclusion are involved. Thousands of unprotected children are vulnerable to abuse by the social silence and impunity with which perpetrators live in.Read more
As children around the world return to school, there are more than two million in Syria who will not be able to join them, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) cautioned today, adding that another 400,000 are at risk of dropping out of school as a direct result of conflict, violence and displacement.
Over the last two months, Global Humanitaria has implemented the school lunchroom program in the communities of Pampa Mamata, Mendez Mamata, and Ana Rancho serving over 450 children. This year we successfully expanded the project to the communities of Pujyuni and Vilaque.
