International Literacy Day 2015
September 8th celebrates the International Literacy Day. On this day, communities around the world act as a united voice in raising awareness for those who cannot read or write. This national date gives children and communities a chance to rediscover the joys or reading while raising awareness for those without access to education. Read more

A Wheelchair for Lourdes to go to School


Lourdes is an 8 year old girl whose disabilities prevent her from walking. The donation from students of the Institut Joaquin Blume de Espluques de Llobregat gave this little girl the opportunity to attend the Chullunquiani School in her community. This wheelchair facilitates her transportation to school.

Food Basket Distribution in the Nearby Communities of Lampa

Since May, we have handed food baskets to 136 students in 3 schools across the communities of Lampa, Peru. Communities around these schools are located at least an hour from the nearest urban center. During the coldest months of the year unpaved roads are almost impossible to use, making it extremely difficult for families to have access to basic food supplies.

New School Vegetable Garden in Chapa Will Improve Food Security and Nutrition in the Area

Global Humanitaria has recently created a new school vegetable garden to improve the nutrition of 800 school children in the region. Families engage in livestock and agricultural activities to supply their families with food, but the harsh weather conditions severely affect their produce. Children’s development is affected due to the lack of nutritional value of their meals.

We Promote the “1st Municipal Youth Forum with Candidates for Mayor of Poptun” in Guatemala


On July 29th, at the Petenchel Hall of Poptun, the First Municipal Youth Forum brought together candidates for mayor of Poptun along with 300 attendees, including 30 women from AMA (Community Group for women organized by Global Humanitaria).
