Emergency assistance to low-income families in the Bronx

Through this project, Global Humanitaria partners with New Settlement with the goal of creating an Emergency Relief Fund for families who have lost their homes due to fire or eviction, and / or who face financial emergencies that can only be alleviated through a rapid response strategy. This program begins with the long-standing trust and understanding that New Settlement has built with the people of the Mount Eden community; “We are often the first place they go for support.” Families who are directors of our school and community programs who need help will be able to receive emergency cash assistance of up to $ 1,000 to meet the most urgent needs; the most immediate is homelessness due to eviction or fire.
