A team from Global Humanitaria, from which Andrés Torres is a president of, has moved to the region of Jersón where they’ve delivered 400 lots of food.

These past days, Jersón, south of Ukraine, has been subjected to a series of attacks from the Russian troupes, because of which Ukrainian authorities have been obligated to evacuate the people from that zone. The lack of food, water, light and heat have made the situation worse.

Furthermore, we’ve taken an electric generator to the Stavishche Hospital, which will be used to face the continuous power outages and facilitate the pumping sewage waters from the town.

Since the start of the war at the end of February, and thanks to the support of partners and collaborators, Global Humanitaria has made deliveries of more than 2 tons of food and first need products, distributed from the logistics center of Gminny Osrodek Kultury in Poland; and from Ukraine, an ambulance for the Bila Tserkva Hospital, as well as clothes and materials for reconstructing places affected by the bombings.

The war in Ukraine poses a threat to 7.5 million children. Global Humanitaria’s priority in this emergency starts with humanitarian help to minors and their families, since already more than 4 million people have fled, 90% of those being women and kids who have searched for refuge in other countries.
