After a long period of drought in December, it has started to rain and, although in some places it has caused heavy flooding, in general it has been insufficient, which is why there has been a decrease in food production by 40% in different areas of Cochabamba. .

Hence, our food security program is developed not only at school but also at home. The crops of the families (like the one in the image) of the municipality of Vacas, to whom a few months ago we distributed trays of seedlings and vegetable seeds, are in full production. In total they have managed to harvest 1,113 kilos of eight varieties of vegetables: chard, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, lettuce, radishes, beets and carrots. And they continue collecting them throughout this month of January.

On the other hand, until mid-December the five school cafeterias have been operating where, with the support of families, we have distributed more than 50,000 food rations to 270 students.
