With schools still closed, the teachers from our educational support project are providing educational assistance at home, in fourteen villages in Sunderbans and five in Murshidabad. They also deliver school breakfasts and act as health promoters emphasizing the importance of COVID prevention measures, such as hygiene, cleanliness, healthy habits, and the use of mosquito nets. These days, we are preparing the delivery of school supplies.
We also continue to provide care at the Kumirmari Health Center, and in parallel, we have deployed a mobile unit to Bhaghan Ghat to care for patients who cannot reach the center due to monsoons.
In the Sundarbans community, we handed out 120 nutritional support packages (dry food such as puffed rice, rice cakes, brown sugar, cookie packages, etc) to vulnerable families and/or those affected by the monsoon.
