In Tumaco, we have participated in the 1st Round Table for Children and Adolescents, together with organizations that work for the well-being of the community, especially the children of the municipality.
Very interesting collaborations have emerged from this meeting:
- With Aldeas Infantiles to give a sexual and reproductive health workshop in April, aimed at 60 mothers of sponsored children who are part of our food security program.
- With Heartland Alliance to train the same 60 mothers on issues of gender violence and mental health. We are also studying possible collaborations with this organization to work with children and adolescents on issues of menstrual health, healthy eating, sexual and reproductive rights, among others.
- On the other hand, together with SIAPA (Comprehensive and Friendly Health Service for Adolescents and Youth) we prepare training for students on sexual and reproductive health, prevention of pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, and prevention of suicide in adolescents.
