The alliance between Global Humanitaria and Aldeas Infantiles made it possible to hold a mental health workshop within the framework of drug consumption prevention, with students from the Nueva Florida school in Tumaco.
During the workshop, the students were able to identify the problems that exist inside and outside the school environment and that affect their physical and psychological health. Thus, they have brought to the table issues ranging from the lack of sense of belonging at school to mistreatment at home and in the classroom , bullying, drug use or suicidal thoughts .
According to the above, it has been agreed to hold a meeting with the center’s teachers, to share the problems expressed by the students, and for the teachers to be the reference people who help find solutions to the difficulties presented . Work is also being done on the development of an internal care route, which allows communication and means to resolve the problem detected.
