In the last week of April, Global Humanitaria carried out its first school health campaign of the year, collecting anthropometric data from 392 children in preschool and primary school and providing them with antiparasitic drugs and vitamin A. In addition to this activity, these are the actions we are carrying out these days to improve access to food and nutrition for families and schoolchildren :
→ In Arbieto, Tarata, and Vacas, we visited 15 schools where we promoted gardens . In two of them, Parko Kocha and Juntutyo, families requested onion plants to grow in school gardens covering a total area of 500 m².
→ Support and monitoring of family gardens where potatoes are now being harvested, leaving the nursery plots fallow.
→ We support the School Supplementary Food Program by delivering chicken, beef, and eggs to seven schools attended by 561 beneficiary students.
