The project aims to encourage the participation of schoolchildren in activities that enhance their expression and leadership, promoting equal participation with a gender-based perspective.

In 18 schools that serve indigenous communities in Puno, we carry out this project, which includes training for the implementation of school councils and other activities that encourage the participation of children (such as Journalists’ Club, Recreation Radio, and the “Tell me: I Am Listening” contest), to improve their academic and social skills and, at the same time, strengthen their democratic values and sense of coexistence.

Moreover, we have the support of women leaders, who share their testimony and explain to schoolchildren their personal experiences while holding public/political positions, through communication and the delivery of school supplies to more than 6,255 students from 12 primary schools.

About 1,013 primary school children participate in this project.
