These last two months we continued carrying out food security actions in the Peruvian highlands, providing support throughout the vegetable production process in 21 school biogardens, three family gardens and two community gardens. In Coata, in addition, work has been carried out prior to the construction of a well at the Primary Educational Institution No. 70030, which has included:
→ drilling the well, opening the hole and placing the rings in the well (above, in the image)
→ installation of the electric pump and electrical connection .
→ connection and installation of pipes to the main network to provide water to the kitchen, sinks, toilets and irrigation of the school biogarden.
The water supply system has a 1,000 liter tank and will allow more than 200 schoolchildren and their families to have a safe source of water. 14 APAFA parents and two teachers have participated in the process.
This action is part of the program to improve access to water sources, conduction, storage and irrigation that Global Humanitaria carries out in 8 primary schools in Puno.
