In Puno we have provided training to a team of four educators in reading initiation methodologies, strategies and tools to apply in the classroom.
The course addressed the topics:
→ fundamentals of reading and writing
→ identification of learning activities
→ development of activities with a communicative approach
As a culmination, the educators developed basic material to facilitate the literacy processes depending on the child’s level.
On the other hand, we also provide them with training in reading mediation , aligned with the Peruvian Ministry of Education, through the workshop ” We are what we read “ to promote reflection on their own reading practice and tools for the training of readers from primary school. The syllabus developed was: reading approaches; written culture and reading mediation; literary text selection criteria and reading plan.
This action aims to reverse the educational gap through an innovative and creative pedagogy, which allows visualizing, developing and evaluating the learning processes of 1,474 students who begin their primary education (1st and 2nd) in 14 schools in Puno.
