School activities in Vacas have almost returned to normal. Hygiene measures such as wearing masks and washing hands are still in place, even though this is not always easy for everyone, among other things because schools in rural areas do not have potable water. For this reason, we have delivered portable sinks for the youngest elementary school children at five schools: Vacas, Parko Kocha, Juntutuyu, David Morato and Rodeo.
These sinks are especially useful at two of these schools, Juntutyo and Parko Kocha, since they have dining facilities that prepare meals for 190 students daily.
With the participation of families, these schools hold training and development sessions on food preparation that diversify the complementary school meals handed out by the government, especially breakfasts.
